Programming Crystals - Simple Steps
You are going to be able to find a lot of different methods and opinions on programming your crystals. I have been working with crystals for close to 20 years and have tried a few different methods. My favourite way to program crystals is pretty simple and this is what works for me. It is also something that I have shown others to do as well. They also find it really easy to do. In no way am I saying this is the only way you can do it - this is just the best method I personally use.
What to do when you first purchase your crystals?
It is highly recommended that you cleanse your crystals when you purchase them. Some of the simplest ways to do this include:
White lighting - holding the crystals in your hands and imagining pure white light energising and clearing them.
Smudging - using sage, palo santo, or incense to cleanse them.
Shamanic Breath - hold the crystals between your palms and blow three quick breaths to reset them.
Intention - using your intention to energise and clear them. Water - you can clear them under running water or with seawater. Be careful with this method as some crystals do not like water - they dissolve.
Sunlight - putting them in the sunlight on the windowsill or Moonlight - using the full moon energy to cleanse and charge them.
Charging them on crystal clusters is another method.
As you can see, there are several ways you can do this but the easiest method is the one that works best for you. Find out what works for you and stick to it. I prefer the Shaman's breath or white lighting as it is easier and quicker for me. I cleanse all my crystals before I sell them too. Not everyone does so find your best method.
Programming crystals - Why do we do it?
Crystals have a large number of properties and sometimes you will want them to only access one or two properties of the crystal. You can program Clear Quartz to be a record keeper. To keep the memories of your spiritual development work or healing. You can also program crystal combinations together. I create packs of crystals for weight loss, prosperity and wealth, and anxiety and depression for example. When I sold these crystals I would energetically program them to the person they were for focussing on the properties relating to the work they were going to do. The crystals will work without programming but we find they are much more potent when programmed for the job you want them to do.
So how do you do it?
Quite simply, you hold the crystals in your palms and put your intention into them telling them what you want them to do. I then activate the programming with shaman's breath - 3 quick blows to seal it. Now they will stay with that programming until you undo it. Releasing programming is as simple as the same shaman's breath or the other methods listed above. Remember, it is a personal choice of how you do it. These are just my options and how I teach others to do. Why - because it is so easy. Crystal programming is not hard. It does not have to be left to the professionals. Everyone can do it.
Large Point Clusters
Finally, you may or may not know, that you can program single points to do multiple jobs on a cluster. You can ask each point to do a different job. For meditation purposes, you may choose to program each spike to take to you to a different destination. There are also aspects you can program it to do with your healing work.
