Discovering Yourself: The Three Keys to Releasing Emotional Burdens
Do You Feel Like You’re Carrying the Weight of the World on Your Shoulders?
Many of us feel weighed down by emotional burdens we don’t fully understand. Years ago, I felt exactly the same—overwhelmed, smothered by anger, and stuck in a spiral of helplessness. I knew I wanted something better but had no idea where to start. Then, through self-discovery and spiritual exploration, I uncovered three key points that completely changed my life. Today, I want to share them with you.
The First Key: Acknowledgement of your Emotional Burdens
The hardest but most crucial step is acknowledging the symptoms and deciding to take action. You may know something is wrong, but understanding what it is and committing to change is where the real work begins.
Here’s how my journey started:
- I was overwhelmed by emotions I couldn’t explain.
- Doctors and psychiatrists couldn’t provide the answers I needed.
- Traditional approaches like hypnosis and regression raised suppressed traumas but didn’t resolve the root causes.
I eventually turned to spiritual healing practices like Reiki, kinesiology, crystal healing, and soul healing. While they helped, they didn’t address the core issue. I realised I had to dig deeper to understand why I was feeling this way.
The Second Key: Understanding their Source
Once you acknowledge your emotions, the next step is understanding their source. This can be confronting but is essential for true healing. Here’s what worked for me:
- Journaling: Writing down my feelings helped me uncover the root causes of my anger and resentment.
- Meditation: Asking questions and connecting with my guides provided clarity.
- Self-Education: Reading books on psychic development and spiritual growth expanded my perspective.
Understanding that past experiences—in this lifetime and others—influence our emotions allowed me to see the bigger picture. I realised that I needed to face these events head-on to move forward.
The Third Key: Forgiveness of Self and Others.
Forgiveness is the most powerful key. Once I understood the roots of my pain, I knew I had to forgive—not just others, but also myself. Here’s how I approached this:
- Forgiving the Past: I acknowledged the lessons each situation taught me and embraced them as part of my growth.
- Self-Forgiveness: I released guilt and shame, accepting myself fully for who I am.
- Letting Go: By forgiving and releasing the trauma, I gained freedom and discovered my inner strength.
- Ho’oponopono: A Hawaiian practice of forgiveness and reconciliation that aims to restore balance and harmony.
This process was invigorating. Releasing the emotional baggage allowed me to find my true self, embrace my strengths, and genuinely love who I am.
